Since the CDC's recommendations for people who believe they've contracted COVID-19 is to STAY HOME, I thought it was worth sharing any information that appears to help people to simply feel better, while they're recovering. Since COVID-19 makes people feel awful, why not do something cheap, easy and safe, that has a LOT of research behind it? You may very well have the ingredients in your kitchen right now!
I've seen lots of testimonials by people who felt that baking soda and lime juice helped them to feel much better, after they contracted COVID-19 (and there is a LOT of research that shows why that may be possible, is on this page). So, in the same way that there should be no harm in telling a person with the flu, that they might feel better by drinking hot soup, there shouldn't be any harm in telling a person that baking soda and lime juice could simply make them feel better.
Baking soda and lime juice appear to be very safe to consume, together (though I'll give the disclaimer: you should check with your health practitioner). You can see various videos (that were made before the COVID-19 outbreak) that recommend using this as a natural detoxifier.

However, because the CDC recommends staying at home, I thought it was worth sharing information that appears to have the potential to help simply help you feel a little better (or maybe even a lot better) while you're cooped up in your house.
A part of me was hesitant to make this video, because I don't want to be accused of trying to give medical advice. But if you got the flu, and had a friend who gave you a recipe for her Grandma's chicken soup, because she just wanted to help you feel better, that wouldn't be a crime, would it?
If sharing a chicken soup recipe to simply help someone feel a little better (or even a lot better), then it shouldn't be a crime to tell you about a 5-cent recipe I found, for baking soda and lime juice, that appears to have made a whole lot of people with COVID-19, to feel a whole lot better. And the main reason you may not have heard about it, is because the videos are being deleted and censored by YouTube.

Some of the people who talked about this recipe practically made it sound like this stuff is like Kryptonite for the Coronavirus. I never said it was, but I'm curious to ask the public.... what do you think? Look at the research, and let me know.
Baking-Soda Ingredient May Lower Risk of Premature Death
https://www.livescience.com/53413-bicarbonate-blood-levels-lower-death-risk.html
Older people may be at increased risk of premature death if they have low levels of bicarbonate, a main ingredient in baking soda, in their blood, a new study suggests.
In the study, researchers examined nearly 3,000 relatively healthy adults ages 70 to 79 over a 10-year period. During this time, about half of these people died from natural causes. But the adults with low levels of bicarbonate in their blood were nearly 25 percent more likely than the adults with normal or high levels of bicarbonate in their blood to die during the study period, the researchers found.
The reason for the link isn't exactly clear, but it may have to do with the ill effects of having slightly acidic blood, the researchers said. Bicarbonate, a base, is a natural byproduct of metabolism that the body uses to regulate the pH level of the blood. Bicarbonate counters carbon dioxide and other acidic byproducts of eating and breathing to keep the blood at a neutral pH.
Another possible explanation is that the low levels might point to underlying (and undiagnosed) kidney problems, the researchers said. Given that it's easy to test for bicarbonate in the blood, it may be prudent for doctors to monitor bicarbonate levels in older adults to reduce their risk of premature death, the researchers said.
